It seems so barbaric to take a little newborn and whisk her off for measurements, pokes, & tests, before she can just cuddle with the mommy she's been in for the last 9 months. Lissette cried, of course, but Michael was with her the whole time. The doctor was sewing me up, otherwise I'd have been right there. I could just watch and wish that I could hold the new little person and get to know her. The time passed slowly to me, but it probably took less than 5 minutes.
