A lizard is one of the beautiful things that we saw at the Poppy Preserve. I'm not sure but I think that he may be a Mojave Fringe-toed Lizard, in his breeding colors. If someone else can ID this lizard, please leave me a note.
We also saw a rattlesnake, but I was too rattled to think about taking a picture. (No pun intended)
There were plenty little stinkers running about the trail too. This stink bug had extra attitude, so I took his picture. He had no idea that it is too windy in the Antelope Valley to smell his scent. If he's smart he'll adapt, then again, they seem to be surviving just fine in the AV.
