Backpack trip to Big Sur

We went this last weekend for a backpacking trip to the Big Sur area. We hiked on the Salmon Creek Trail.
The first day of our trip there was a 70% chance of rain, highly unusual for anywhere in California at this time of year. We decided to chance it, and got rained out. We got to the trailhead, while it was raining, and pulled out our gear and before we could pack up and head out we were soaked and our gear was getting wet. It was destiny I suppose. We ended up at a hotel with an indoor pool and spa, so all was not a loss. Here is a picture of us arriving at our first "campsite."
