The Happy Farmer

I've been looking at Fisher Price Little People playsets for Lissette for some time now in our local Kmart. She has been in need of some more sophisticated toddler toys lately, and I've been looking for something for her to grow into. I love the Little People playsets because they are perfect for little toddlers as there is nothing to choke on, and older children can use their imaginations & pretend. I couldn't bring myself to spend $30- 40 on a toy however. I was considering the Farm & the Noah's Ark sets, and nearly jumped out of my skin when I found one at the children's thrift store yesterday. The set was complete with all the animals & parts, just had the roof broken a bit. Not a problem, for $6.99! I can't believe some of the great deals I got for Lissette's clothing there too. I found her 3 beautiful, smocked dresses, one of which is made of Indian silk, all for the grand total of $6.68! I also found her some nice shoes for church! I love being thrift-y!

Lissette had so much fun with her new toy! She made all of the farm animals growl. All critters growl right now, even the birdies that used to go "tweet." Fortunately, the barn has the animal noises, so maybe she'll learn how to oink & moo, etc...
