My Little Sunshine

Lissette was nicknamed by Grandma A "sunshine" & the name has stuck. I think it is fitting for her in another way though. After a solid 10 days of rainy weather, the novelty had worn off & Lissette let me know it. We went outside in our raincoats & boots, but she couldn't play on the wet slide & swing & all her toys we soaking wet too. Lissette wandered around distraught & then turned to me & said "sunshine, sunshine mommy." I told her that we weren't going to have sunshine that day & she started crying. I think Lissette really is my California Sunshine, I just hope that she will adjust. It's hard going from an average annual rainfall of 8 inches to 93 inches! This picture was taken on our first sunny day, she looks like my Sunshine!

Poor little sunshine girl!! I feel for her! I hope she adjusts soon! Tell you what, Emmy can come play with her and help her out! Emmy would play outside in any weather she could get away with. Wet toys? eh, just sit on 'em, that'll dry em off. Mud puddles? Hurray! Wind, snow, sleet? No match for Super Emmy! It breaks her heart every time I tell her she can't go out.
