On New Year's Eve we had a party at our house - 80's Retro Movie Night! We had everyone dress up in 1980's clothing, which most of us found at a thrift store. We had fun preparing! We had a microwave dinner of Hot Pockets & Bagel Bites & lots of 80's junk food like Pop Rocks, Bubblicious bubblegum, Pringles & even Tab soda!! We gave away 80's prizes (Slinky, Rubiks Cube, Tetris, etc...) for the best dressed, & for the 1980's Trivia game winners.
We
had fun with the kiddos too, until we put them to bed for the movie. Christopher had fun with Grandma A. He couldn't get over how she could do that! And Grandma couldn't get over how fast Christopher could grab it away!!

n see that Michael & I got into the spirit too. Michael looked like he walked out of Back to the Future. Notice that even his shoe tongues are pulled out! We were hoping to give him a McGyver mullet, but couldn't find a wig or hairpiece to make it work. Maybe next time. Yep, there may be another Retro Movie Night in the future! Scotty was even dressed in the appropriate era attire!! Notice his totally 80's sweater!!

r group picture. Dad A is totally donning a vest, very 80's. Mom A is looking very 80's, she won 2nd place in the outfit contest! The scarf is Radical, man! Jake is wearing baggy pants & a shirt with Puffy Paint, anyone remember that? I do! Lisa took the cake with her outfit! She looks totally bodacious in her rockin' 80's outfit! She won 1st place & took home the Hand-held Tetris game. Watch out for those bangs & the boots! Gnarly! Jali is in stripes, very trendy back then & Scott is in a colorful 80's sweater. Michael is in a thermal with a cut-off flannel. I found a very 80's sweater dress at the thrift store. Anybody have one of those in the 80's? I also crimped my hair & found those slouchy boots to finish off the outfit. Lissette is wearing leggings & a couple pairs of slouch socks. Her hair got crimped too, but it doesn't hold in baby fluff hair. What a group, huh? Lisa even had the nerve to wear her outfit in public! I was really happy how everyone put so much effort into getting into the spirit of the evening! We watched "D.A.R.Y.L.", played Yahtzee & a 1980's trivia game, which Jake won. Awesome Dude! Although, Tom, who was born in the late 80's got second place on the trivia game. Far Out! We had a great time!
