Lawns

It seems to me that my lawn is comprised of 50% grass, 25% moss, & 25% dandelion. Last Sunday we gave in & mowed back the flowers, so that they don't go to seed & comprise a full 50% of the lawn. I love my lawn to be beautiful & manicured, but the effort involved is a bit too much with trying to raise a vegetable garden for the first time.

Besides, some of my best childhood memories are of making mud pies which were delicately decorated with dandelions, or picking dandelion bouquets for my mother (who, I assume, probably wondered why her strange daughter had a habit of giving weed bouquets).
