Sabbath - Partly Cloudy

I love Sabbath afternoon hikes, but we've been sick & it's been raining. So, one partially cloudy Sabbath, we headed out for an easy walk, which was about all we had energy for. Well, except for Michael. He was healthy, but decided to spend time with the family, even though I'm sure he was aching for a good hike. Such a great hubby!
We went to the Fort Cascades trail in Bonneville. Not exactly what I'd term a "hiking trail", but it is a nice walk. In the summer, it is cool & shady. This spring, it was mossy! We diverged from the path & spent some time on the shore of the Columbia plunking rocks while Michael tried out his new sling.
We also spent some time at the Bonneville Dam visitor's center watching salmon in the fish ladders. Not too many salmon, yet. That is the best place to take kids! Carpeted stairs & fish, a great combo.
