Cascade Locks Trail
On a sunny Sabbath afternoon we took a walk on a trail in Cascade Locks. The trail is paved so it was perfect for the stroller. We walked 5 miles through the most ferny place I've ever been. There are so many ferns that they grow on the trees & from the moss on the rocks. What looks like shrubs in the background of the picture with Mike & the kids, is really Sword Ferns. They are our evergreen fern & cover most of the forest floor, in our area. The kids slept in the stroller most of the way until we turned around at the fish hatchery.
Lissette became acquainted with her first Wooly Bear caterpillar. At first she wouldn't touch it, but with Mommy's coaxing she decided that it was her little "friend."
It was a brief break in our rain & we really enjoyed stretching our legs out in the fresh clean air.
